First, I saw Jaclyn for my color. She did an incredible job with my base color and highlights! My hair has so much more dimension, and the color is absolutely perfect. She is incredibly talented, and the best part is that I barely had to give her any directionshe just knows!
Then I got a haircut from Claudio. He has been in this business for decades and truly knows what hes doing. He is very meticulous and explained what was wrong with my previous cut, along with what he recommended, which I really appreciated. Claudio created a style that feels fresh, flattering, and easy to maintain.
My hair has never looked healthier or more beautiful! The entire experience was professional, welcoming, and enjoyable from start to finish. I was so happy with the results that I referred my sister, and I know shes in great hands. I truly cannot say enough amazing things about Jaclyn. She is an artist and a miracle worker. I came to her after four failed color corrections, completely discouraged and ready to give up. Before I could even explain what I wanted, she read me completely. She said, Your skin tone is cool to neutral with a pink undertone, so warm tones like orange and yellow wont flatter you. Lets go for a cooler, neutral blonde. It was exactly what I had been trying to communicate, but couldnt. I had told her I was ready to go brown, but she could tell that deep down I still wanted to be blonde. She saw me.

What she created for me wasnt just a color correction. It was a thoughtful, elevated, and personally curated design. She didnt use a one-size-fits-all formula. She considered my undertone, my features, and what actually flatters me most, and she crafted something that felt intentionally designed for me. It wasnt just any blonde. It was my blonde.

I havent let anyone give me more than a teeny tiny trim in over a decade. I have too much PTSD from too many awkward haircuts. But lately I just knew if I wanted to really love my hair again, I had to surrender to a real haircut.

Then it occurred to me. Its time to go to Claudio Lazo.

I have a girlfriend who has been going to him for over fifteen years and her hair is always, ALWAYS on point. And hes a hair legend. I had wanted to go see him myself but I was a single mom raising two girls on my own and an expensive haircut wasnt in my budget. But kids are grown now, and My spidey senses told me if anyone knew how to wake my hair back up, it was Claudio.

His new(ish) space Hairem is awesome, homey but not in the way you might think. Its comfortable and funky and hip. It feels personal, which most salon studios dont get right.

And my Spidey senses were right. I am so happy with my hair. He heard (not just listened but actually heard) what I wanted and told me what was realistic and asked if I was attached to my length. Like a lot of women I know, that answer is yes. But this time I said no, take off what needs to come off. This is NOT how I am about my hair- Im usually very protective of the length (and no one touches my bangs ever) and not so casual as this. But I just relaxed and trusted Claudio.

Now- most people who know me wouldnt even realize I got a haircut. It wasnt super drastic or anything. He cut layers and made it a bit shag like and harmonized my ever present bangs with the rest of my hair. He released my hair from being weighed down in all the wrong places so my natural waves know what to do with themselves.

I am now one of those women that wakes up in the morning, and just lets my hair do its thing. No ponytails, no product, maybe a few sprays of water and mussing it up to reactivate some wave and Im good. My hair feels sexy and fresh and happy!

The salon is beautiful, clean, welcoming, and well-appointed. Surprisingly street parking isn't too bad. Also their prices are competitive for outstanding style and service.
